About Danielle

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Danielle's Doula Services, LLC. Danielle graduated from Old Dominion University with her BSN. She has been a DONA certified birth doula since 2015. Danielle recently became a Certified Lactation Consultant and she is working toward becoming an IBCLC. Danielle is a proud mom of four beautiful children and the spouse of a Unites States Army Veteran. In her free time Danielle enjoys spending time with my family, camping, hiking, fishing, crafting and reading to her children. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, cat and 9 chickens.

"I was inspired by my family and my children to become a doula. Even before I even knew what a doula was, I helped many moms with breastfeeding support and various newborn support. Late night calls and questions, encouragement and advice have always been part of who I am. When my first was born, I was uneducated and lacked sufficient support. Though I am very grateful for a healthy baby, there are many things I would have done differently. It was after my third baby was born that I realized just how crucial a doula is to the birthing process. My nurse had had a crash course in "birth doula-ing." She made all the difference by encouraging and supporting my birth preferences."

As a doula, Danielle has experience in a variety of settings, including birthing centers, hospitals and even the OR. Danielle prides herself in serving couples who are neurodivergent. She tailors each prenatal to her clients needs.

Danielle also has many years of experience as a caregiver. Over the past 15 years she's worked as a home health aid for hospice patients, as a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities and she's worked as a summer camp counselor with children. Additionally, she has worked as a nurse on a neurology unit, trauma step down and transplant. Danielle poured her heart and soul into caring for covid patients during the pandemic. She loves serving and helping others, so when she found out that she could support new mothers and families, and help them navigate through the many options available during pregnancy, labor, and delivery, she knew it was her calling.

Danielle is here to guide you through your choices. She provides support and information before, during and after labor. Wholesome care and the wellness of mama and baby are her main focus.

Disclosure: Though Danielle is a registered nurse, she does not provide medical tasks, assessments or advice under her doula certification/title. If you would like to inquire about private duty nursing, please contact her for her personal email. Thank you.
